God has been so good to each of us! Our desire at Westside Baptist Church is that each of us gives obediently and with great joy. The apostle Paul says it well in 2 Corinthians 9:7 – “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Why use online E-Giving

Online e-giving helps us prioritize our giving towards accomplishing our mission. Our mission is to love God and love people by seeking out, growing up, and sending out disciples of Jesus Christ. Our tithes and offerings help maintain our facilities, support workers, help the needy, provide discipleship opportunities, and support missions work around the world.

Online e-giving can help us be more faithful and consistent in our giving. Have you ever forgotten your gift, left it at home or had times where you have fallen behind because of travel and other schedule interruptions? Online giving provides a way to strengthen our base of regular support.

Online e-giving is personal, flexible, and safe. You can set up your own schedule, customize the amounts given, set up recurring transactions, and set up specific dates, accounts and amounts for these transactions to occur. It allows you to give and track your giving history easily and securely from the comfort of your own home.

How to Give Online

Getting Started:

  • Go to your church/organization’s Give link on their website.
  • If you have already set up a user email and password, click on SIGN IN
  • For a One-Time donation, click on the Fund drop down box and choose the fund in which you wish to donate
  • Enter the amount
  • If you wish to donate to more than one fund, click on +Add Donation
  • Click on SUBMIT
  • If you wish to make this a RECURRING GIFT, click on the box listed, (then follow the directions below) otherwise choose CREDIT CARD or BANK ACCOUNT.
  • Enter your card (the card may be a credit or debit card- gift cards and pre-paid cards will not process) or bank information.
  • Enter your billing information
  • Click Submit. An email will be sent to the email you listed as a receipt of confirmation.

To Set Up A Recurring Gift:

  • Use the directions listed above and click on the box next to Recurring Gift
  • If you do not have an account set up, it will prompt you to register so you may enter your information
  • Choose FREQUENCY and the START DATE
  • Enter your method of payment if it is not saved already.
  • Click Give Now if the amount and frequency is what you have selected is accurate.
  • An email will be sent confirming the information of your Recurring Gift

To Register for an account:

  • From your church/organization’s Give link on their website, click on SIGN IN
  • Enter the information requested
  • Click REGISTER- a confirmation email will be sent with your login credentials

Can’t remember your Password?

  • From the SIGN IN option, click on Forgot Password and a temporary password will be emailed to the email address you list. Once you sign in with the Temporary Password, it will prompt you to create your own password.


Answers to questions about using e-Giving ...

What is e-giving?
E-giving is short for electronic giving. It is an automatic transfer program which allows you to make contributions without writing checks.
What is the advantage of e-giving?
It saves time, saves work and simplifies your life!  You can also help the church stabilize its budget by scheduling your donations on a recurring and consistent basis.
How is my electronic contribution automatically deducted from my account?
Log onto Westside’s e-giving site, accept the ACH agreement and schedule donations from your checking or savings account. Once you authorize the transfer, your specified contributions can be taken out one-time or on a regular basis as you choose. The contribution is transferred directly from your checking or savings account to Westside’s checking account.
When will my contribution be deducted from my account?
Within 72 hours for ACH transactions (checking or savings accounts). If you choose to give on an automatic recurring basis, you can designate the exact date when the donations should be processed.
Can I put amounts in different funds and special offerings, and have those all withdrawn from my account at different frequencies?
You can set up to contribute to different funds at different frequencies; however, you will have to do each one separately. There is no possible way to split a single transaction into different amounts and frequencies. When you have completed giving to one fund for a certain frequency, simply go back in to complete another. You will receive separate receipts for each.
What do I use when I do my taxes? Will I get a statement of everything I gave online?
You will receive a statement from Westside Baptist Church with all your donation information (online and in person) during the month of January of each year.  You may also print out a statement from the e-giving site for all transactions that were made online through e-giving, using the time period you designate. This can also be used for tax purposes.
Can I look up all my donations online, even those that I gave while at church?
Not currently. The only transactions you can view online are the ones that were completed online. Please contact our financial secretary for complete donation information.
Can anyone who works at the church see my account number?
No one at the church has access to your account numbers. Only a couple employees at the E-giving service have access to this information. 
What do I do if I forget my username or password?
If you forget your password, click on the “forgot password” link. You can then enter your user e-mail, and your password will be emailed to the email address you registered with.
If I do not write checks, how do I keep my checkbook balance straight?
You may either make a notation in your check register at the time of the transaction, or you can make the notation at the time that an email is sent to you acknowledging your contribution. If you choose to contribute at regular automatic intervals, you can easily make the notations for the entire length of time that you are contributing all at once.
Without a cancelled check, how can I prove I made my contribution?
You have the option of printing or saving either the payment acknowledgement page or the emailed acknowledgements. In addition, your bank statement shows an itemized list of electronic transfers. The church also has proof of your donation. Any of these can prove your contribution.
Is electronic giving risky?
Electronic giving is less risky than writing checks for your contributions. It cannot be lost, stolen or destroyed in the mail. You may choose in your profile to turn off account number save. With this option, you will have to enter your account number each time a transaction is made, but it will never automatically show on the page.
What if I change bank accounts?
Update the information at the e-giving site under the section “member profile”. If you have set up recurring transactions and you do not update your account information, you may be deactivated until you update your info. This is to prevent your account from being declined over and over.
How much does electronic giving cost?
It costs you nothing and saves you time. The church pays nominal transaction fees.
Note: A $30 insufficient funds fee will be charged in the event funds are not available for withdrawal. The donor will be asked to reimburse the church for this charge. 
What if I try it and don’t like it?
You can cancel your automatic deductions anytime via the e-giving website.
What if I only want to give on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis?
You can choose these frequencies on your own when completing your e-giving information on the site. You also have the option to have your automatic deductions run for only a certain period of time if you attend more than one organization through the year.
